Joanna E. Rapf

Joanna E. Rapf, Professor of English and Film & Video Studies at the University of Oklahoma, is a daughter of screenwriter Maurice Rapf and granddaughter of Harry Rapf, one of the three founders of MGM. Joanna is a celebrated author and historian with numerous books to her credit, including The Blackwell Companion to Film Comedy, Interviews with Sidney Lumet, On the Waterfront: A Cambridge University Press Film Handbook, and Buster Keaton: A Bio-Bibliography.  Her writings have also appeared in Film QuarterlyThe Cinema Journal Literature/Film QuarterlyQuarterly Review of Film & Video, Film CriticismJournal of Popular CultureStudies in American Humor, and Western Humanities Review.
